Video game developer IO Interactive and publisher Square Enix might be unwilling to offer too many details about the new Hitman video game at the moment, but gameplay footage has been leaked, showing gamers some of the mechanics and the environments that will be included.

The video has been uploaded and taken down a few times already, and AllGamesBeta is now featuring it, so watch it before the involved companies move once again to make sure that it is suppressed.

The footage shows Agent 47 dealing with a variety of situations and looks very much like a solid take on the classic mechanics of the series.

It seems that players will have a lot of freedom to decide how to approach missions, but they will also get helpful tips and details that will offer newcomers simpler ways to deal with some complicated moments.

It's unclear at what stage in the development title the new Hitman title was when the footage was captured, but it is probably that the game is in the final stages of alpha and heading towards a beta.

Fans have been commenting positively on the leaked footage, which might mean that it would serve Square Enix well in the marketing department to deliver an official version.
Hitman will offer a lot of choice for players

The development team at IO Interactive says that it plans to create more environments that will use the template from Blood Money, designed to make sure that gamers have a variety of options when they plan their assassinations.

The studio has also suggested that they want to deliver a range of timed missions, which will only be open for a short while and might deliver bigger rewards for the player.

There are no plans to offer classic downloadable content for the new Hitman experience, but the company will offer a range of new levels for free to all those who pick up the title.

Hitman will be launched on December 8 via digital distribution on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 and it seems that a boxed version will only be offered sometime later.

Gamers who get the Sony home console version of the title will be able to get six exclusive missions.
