Metal Gear Online will continue to be supported with new DLC, Konami has announced.

In a post on MGO's official Twitter account, the publisher confirmed that additional maps are on the way, as well as Survival mode and more content that will be detailed at a later date.

For those unfamiliar with prior versions of Metal Gear Online, Survival matches offered a different type of competitive play, providing players with Reward points based on their match win streaks, rather than their performance each round.

Last month, Konami confirmed Kojima Productions LA Studio was being shut down, calling into question the future of Metal Gear Online. Fortunately, it looks like the studio's closure and Hideo Kojima's recent departure haven't halted future support for Metal Gear Solid V's online component.
