The Naughty Dog studio apologized for using artwork from the Assassin's Creed franchise in their latest Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Story Trailer.

Naughty Dog came under fire when someone working for Ubisoft spotted some familiar artwork being used in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Story Trailer. Since these are really different studios and publishers, Sony and Ubisoft, it wasn't likely that two were collaborating that closely.
When the artwork from Assassin's Creed: Black Flag was spotted in the trailer, the studio had only one choice. They had to take down the video and correct the problem. But what to do with the fact that you had something from another studio in your promotional material? Apologize and move on, since the damage has already been done.
Naughty Dog apologizes As it was to be expected, the studio acknowledged the mistake and said that it was just a mistake. With so much online content that's difficult to track back to the original owner, it was pretty much the most obvious explanation.
"In our eagerness to get the story trailer out, we made a regrettable mistake and didn’t thoroughly vet the art work used for an in-game painting. We’ve already updated the trailer. We hold all artistry in high regard and take full responsibility for having allowed this to happen. We want to sincerely apologize to everyone at Ubisoft, the Assassin’s Creed team, the original artist, and our fans," the studio said on their website.
The only problem that remains right now is the eternal memory of the Internet. Even if they apologized and quickly removed the video, this mistake will haunt them for a long time. I wouldn't be surprised to see this mentioned in discussions a couple of years from now.
In any case, you can check the new trailer below, or you can check the initial trailer, with the wrong artwork in our initial report.
