The developers at Mojang in charge of Minecraft are announcing that the long-awaited 1.9 update for the video game is now live and that players who asked for more options when it comes to combat will be happy to get access to a range of new features that expand that aspect of the title.



According to the official announcement the studio explains that there are a lot of small tweaks that are not listed, and a full list of all the changes can be seen by clicking on the button at the end of this article.
Minecraft now features shields, attacks are more dependent on timing, items can be held in both hands for the player character, and there are more blocks to use as well as a range of sound effects and subtitles for them.
The combat update has been in development for a long period of time, and Mojang says that it completed the core features in late of 2015 and has since then worked on making sure that it balances all the main elements of the title and eliminates bugs.
1.9 for Minecraft was supposed to be offered on February 25, but it was delayed for four days to make sure that all systems worked as advertised.
Mojang is encouraging players to report any problems that they might have with the Combat update to give the team the information that they need to eliminate them as quickly as possible.
Minecraft will continue to evolve this year For the Pocket and the Windows 10 versions of the title the developers are planning to introduce an Overworld update that will add a number of new Redstone components, which players will then be able to use to create improved mechanism to populate their world
No official launch window has been revealed, and there are also plans to add an export and import feature that will allow players to share the world with one another.
Before the end of the year Microsoft also wants to introduce a special version of Minecraft that will be used in classrooms by those teachers who are looking to use multimedia to deliver more information to kids.
The Story Mode title created by Telltale Games will probably also get a second season later in 2016 or early in 2016, but no information about it has been delivered so far.
Some fans of Minecraft are disappointed that the recently announced Developer Edition of HoloLens does not include a demo for the game that takes advantage of its augmented reality tech.
Microsoft recently announced that the package will include three video games, including a new Conker title, Fragments, and RoboRaid, and that there are also some productivity apps included, with the first version of the device selling for 3,000 dollars or Euro starting on February 29.
Since Minecraft was bought by the software and hardware giant many fans worried about its future but at the moment Mojang seems to be focused on the development of more updates that expand the kind of experiences that it can offer.
