Microsoft has filed a new trademark for something called "Roboraid."

The trademark (first spotted by DualShockers) was filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on January 11 under Class 9, designating it as "game software."

The filing doesn't offer any additional information, so whether or not "Roboraid" is a new game for Xbox One, Windows 10 or perhaps both platforms remains to be seen. It's important to note that while this could indeed hint at a new first-party franchise, Microsoft has yet to announce anything related to the trademark.

Microsoft has big plans for 2016, with a number of Xbox One exclusives on the horizon, including Quantum Break, Crackdown 3 and Gears of War 4.
