Ben Rose of Irving, Texas was playing Fallout 4 in his apartment when a car crashed through the wall and hit him. The accident fractured his vertebra and sliced his Achilles tendon. Rose believes that if it weren’t for Fallout 4 and his special gaming chair, he would be in a lot worse condition.
“Cars versus people don’t really end up well. So I really thought it was over,” said Rose to CBS DFW. “Everybody asks were you walking in your parking lot? Or were you in your car? What do you mean she drove through your apartment?”

“The chair is what saved me, without a doubt. That took the impact. It pushed me out of the way. It kept me from going under the car,” he said.
Local police believe the driver accidentally hit the accelerator while trying to back out of a parking spot. The driver does not have insurance, leaving Rose responsible for damages and medical bills.
