GamingBolt’s reviews/previews contributor Philip Hartmeyer came across a very unusual bug when was he trying to review Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty! on the PlayStation 4. After downloading the game, Philip started the game and was unfortunately greeted with “Cannot start the application. (CE-34632-8)”. Usually this error is resolved by restoring the licenses but this time around restoring did not worked.

His network connection was fine and the secondary account on his PlayStation 4 had no such errors. In short, the primary account got affected. On calling PlayStation support, Philip was asked to do a full initialization of the console which meant that he had to delete his save files, games and apps. But that did not worked. The support staff finally told him that this is a known issue and there is no apparent fix for the same. The support staff also revealed that other user accounts have been affected too. Apparently this bug also affects all other applications like Netflix and Amazon Prime. In short, the user’s primary account on the PlayStation 4 is completely locked out.

After initialization, Philip downloaded all his stuff again but the issue persists. You can read more about this issue in a post he made on Neogaf. Sony pushed out a stability patch a couple of days ago but it seems that this issue went under the radar.
