Those wanting to play Spider-Man on PS4 who have yet to pick up Sony's console are in a bit of luck, as the PS4 Pro is going to receive a limited edition Spider-Man bundle. It's one of the most highly-anticipated games in the PS4's upcoming release schedule, and plenty of gamers have the title's release date of September 7 marked down in their diaries already.

Many have been wondering exactly how well developer Insomniac Games has been able to make use of its PS4 exclusivity. So far, Spider-Man has been looking mighty impressive, sitting pretty as one of the best-looking games from E3 2018, but even so the proof is going to be when the title launches. Thankfully, this PS4 Pro bundle should be the perfect place to play the game once it arrives.

The bundle was confirmed by Sony over on the official PlayStation blog, and it's easy to see why Spider-Man was such a good fit for a limited edition bundle. The bundle itself was rumored long before this official reveal, with whispers doing the rounds as long ago as May, but nonetheless it's good to finally have the final word in from Sony.

The bundle itself consists of a red PS4 Pro with Spider-Man's signature logo, along with a matching DualShock 4 wireless controller for discerning Spider-Man fans. Alongside this, Insomniac's game will also be included in the bundle on Blu-Ray, alongside digital content. As it stands, the bundle is now available for pre-order. It comes in at $399.99 USD and will be available in the US and Canada on the date of the game's release.

What does the PS4 Pro offer when it comes to Spider-Man, though? The game will offer up some improvements on PS4 Pro over the standard PS4 console, such as its 4k resolution. Those gamers who have televisions that support high-dynamic range, however, will apparently be able to get a better look at Mister Negative's powers. The controller, of course, is purely aesthetic, but that won't stop fans wondering if Sony would consider releasing it as a standalone piece.

The PS4 has been an absolute powerhouse from a sales perspective, but Sony has even higher aspirations based around its Spider-Man exclusive. No doubt this PS4 Pro bundle will go some way towards helping to achieve this goal, as it's yet another example of Sony being able to deliver stunning exclusives to the market. Hopefully, Insomniac's title will live up to the expectations when it launches in September.
