The Creative Director of The Last Of Us franchise has teased that there are future Naughty Dog projects that he can't yet speak of. This is exciting to hear as just about anything that comes from the renowned studio is an immediate hit. The developers of Sly Cooper, Uncharted, and The Last Of Us already have a television show and movie based on their games on the way, so a new mystery project is intriguing.

Naughty Dog Studios has changed the face of gaming over the past decade with their two largest franchises. The Uncharted series is a lovingly-made action-adventure that blends the swashbuckling of a campy pirate film with the treasure hunting escapades of Tomb Raider. Naughty Dog's other smash-hit franchise is The Last Of Us, a third-person survival adventure game that lets you not only survive a zombie apocalypse but also analyzes humanity on a profound level through intense narratives and organic character plotlines. The Last Of Us 2 also recently became the most awarded game in history. Both franchises have made the jump to different mediums as an Uncharted movie is in the works as well as a The Last Of Us HBO series.

Naughty Dog Co-President, Neil Druckmann, has teased via Twitter that there are multiple projects in the works for the studio that he wishes he could talk about. He baits fans to ask him questions that he cannot yet answer but wishes he could about the specific projects in question. Druckmann must be extremely busy as he has been brought onto The Last Of Us HBO series as a writer and the second game in the franchise is receiving a multiplayer mode later this year.

This isn't the first time that Neil Druckmann has teased upcoming projects recently. He has become known for letting small bits of information out at a time due to sheer excitement for what is to come from Naughty Dog Studios. The biggest tease was made when multiple positions were opened at the studio for a "very cool new game", according to Druckmann. Between the silver screen, the small screen, and all gaming platforms, Naughty Dog has its work cut out for it.

Naughty Dog and its employees have always been ambitious with their projects, never hesitating before swinging for the fences when it comes to narrative, gameplay, or new directions that they can take their existing properties in. Neil Druckmann himself has been vocal about dream projects that he would love to work on, such as games centered around The Punisher and The Ghost Rider. Either character falls in-line with Naughty Dog's penchant for flawed protagonists who survive their turmoil-ridden adventures through gratuitous violence and gritty themes. We are sure to hear more about these mystery projects in the near future.
