Insomniac Games Love "Microsoft & Sony Fans Equally;" Sunset Overdrive/Resistance 3 Share Directors

The move of Insomniac Games to the Microsoft camp has quite evidently left a bitter taste on the tongue of quite a few PlayStation fans, yet the studio launched a message of reconciliation today on Twitter.

We love our Microsoft & Sony fans equally. Let’s all have a big group hug & have fun playing games : D

Community and Marketing Lead James Stevenson also explained on NeoGAF how Sunset Overdrive shares its pedigree with the previous games by the studio on PlayStation platforms, and specifically Resistance 3.

And of course, Marcus Smith (Creative Director of R3) is the Creative Director of Sunset Overdrive, and Drew Murray (Lead Designer of R3) is the Game Director for Sunset Overdrive.

As an added bonus he also mentioned that screenshots for E3 are already being sent to Xbox’s marketing department, which means that when we’ll see them in just two weeks, we’ll know that they’ll be at least from a couple weeks old build.

It’ll definitely be interesting to see if Insomniac Games will work on more games for PlayStation platforms in the future, but for now group hugs sound like a sweet idea.
