Since its release last week, Forza Horizon 4 has been played by more than 2 million people. Earlier today, the game’s publisher, Microsoft, announced that the game had hit the milestone just over a week after its initial release.

The publishers also came out with a bunch more stats about what players have achieved in the game. So far, players have driven more than 822 million miles across the British countryside, and they’ve done so in a car collection totalling nearly 75 million vehicles.

It’s worth pointing out that those numbers don’t correlate directly to the game’s sales. Forza Horizon 4 has sold pretty well, but it’s also available as part of the Xbox Game Pass, which means that some players will have accessed it via their subscription, or even the two-week free trial. Earlier this week, however, Microsoft also revealed that Forza Horizon 4 is “the fastest-selling game in the series,” according to the UK’s physical charts, where it reached number three, behind the returning FIFA 19, and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey at number two.

Those figures are perhaps slightly skewed by one major factor – Forza Horizon 4’s setting. While previous entries took the Horizon festival to Colorado, the Alps, and Australia, this time around, the action has headed to the UK, with a truncated version of England and Scotland providing the setting for the fourth game in the series.

Fair warning, while it’ll probably help with those winding country lanes, dealing with regional UK accents is something you’ll need to get to grips with by yourself.
