During a livestream for the new Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Activision revealed Infinity Ward is doing the game's zombie mode, a first for the studio.

"We’re excited that we’re finally able to do our own take on zombies," Infinity Ward said during the stream. The mode is a "separate universe from Infinite Warfare" and the other zombie games.

It also promised new gameplay features and mechanics as part of the mode.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was officially revealed this morning in a trailer featuring space combat, zero-gravity, and mechs.

Details on the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare campaign, as well as its space setting, major belligerents and introducing two new characters important to the story, also happened during the stream.

The trailer also revealed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is part of the pre-order package for players who pre-order the Legacy Edition of the game. The remastered Modern Warfare includes the campaign from the original game, as well as 10 multiplayer maps.

Last week, the existence of the Modern Warfare remaster was confirmed on Twitter through clever application of the smiling-poop emoji.

Activision promised more details on this year's Call of Duty game would be revealed at E3 this June.
