After finding success through its crowdfunding campaign in 2015, the next game from Skullgirls developer LabZero Games' injects the developer's colorful eye for visuals and fast gameplay sense into a new action-RPG experience. Published by 505 Games and set to launch on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch sometime in 2019, Indivisible brings together a party of brawlers, swordsmen, and rangers as they explore dangerous dungeons and battle mobs of creatures across differing locales.

In the above video, we got to play 24 minutes of the demo on the show floor of PAX West 2018. You take on the role of Ajna, the main protagonist who discovers that she has special powers that allow her to awaken mysterious abilities, which soon brings her into conflict with the warring factions of the land. On her journey, she'll learn new abilities, obtain new weapons, and bring together new allies with their unique skill-sets on her quest. Though Indivisible looks in the vein of classic 2D action-adventure games, in actuality it offers a clever blend of gameplay found from Castlevania and traditional turn-based RPG games.

While the final game will offer a more traditional and cohesive narrative, the demo focused on showing off many of the key elements of what you'll expect to find in Indivisible. Blending metroidvania-style gameplay with the action-RPG mechanics of games like Final Fantasy XIII and the PS1 classic Valkyrie Profile, your party of characters will be able to attack in tandem to juggle enemies, allowing for strategic use of your party member's particular set of skills. However, the monsters and bosses you'll encounter can employ the same strategies against you, forcing you to stay on your toes and keep up with the pace of battle.
