Three new gameplay props are coming to Super Mario Maker.

The new items coming via a software update (on December 21 in the US/December 22 in Europe) are a rubber ring which bounces the player away, a warp door outline that requires a ‘P’ block to be made fully visible and accessible, and for those of you wanting to make an R-Type-style level; a Koopa clown car which shoots fireballs.

Also coming the same day, players will be able to see who holds the world record for each course, and the new web-based Mario Maker portal launches, which will let players search and bookmark courses online.

In our review of Super Mario Maker, we said the game is “a celebration that folds three decades of Mario into one accessible, powerful creation suite.”
