Sony PlayStation reveals the list of PlayStation Plus (PS Plus) free games for May 2018. The PlayStation Network is free to use for everyone, but those who pay an additional membership fee for PlayStation Plus get access to a wide variety of premium features, including monthly free games. While those games tend to be months if not years old, it’s a great way for PlayStation owners to try out games they might have missed or for new console players to try out games they weren’t able to play before.

First off, the free PS Plus games for April 2018 are still available (and will be available until May 1). They include Avalanche Studios’ Mad Max, Nadeo’s TrackMania Turbo, and Gonzo Games’ Q-Bert Rebooted for PS4. Then, there’s Forge Reply’s In Space We Brawl, Game Republic’s Toy Home, and Gonzo Games’ Q-Bert Rebooted for PS3, and Bruno Carvalho’s 99 Vidas and again, Gonzo Games’ Q-Bert Rebooted, for PS Vita. And now, here are all the free games coming in May 2018 for PS Plus subscribers.

PS4’S FREE PLUS GAMES FOR MAY 2018

The PS4’s free PS Plus games for May 2018 include Quantic Dream’s Beyond: Two Souls, 10 Tons’ King Oddball, and Ubisoft Montpellier’s Rayman Legends. While the latter two are interesting choices, especially since King Oddball is primarily a mobile game title for iOS and Android, it actually makes a lot of sense why Sony Interactive Entertainment would include Beyond: Two Souls as their primary free PS Plus game for May 2018. After all, they’re also publishing Quantic Dream’s latest title, Detroit: Become Human, which releases on May 25. This is a good way to get people interested in the studio’s development style and excited about what comes next.

PS3 & PS VITA’S FREE PLUS GAMES FOR MAY 2018

The PS3’s free PS Plus games for May 2018 include FluffyLogic’s Eat Them, 10 Tons’ King Oddball, and Piranha Bytes’ Risen 3: Titan Lords. The latter title is the biggest release among the games listed, and it also released on the PS4 in 2014 if players are looking for an upgraded experience. However, the game isn’t included on the PS Plus’ free games list for PS4 in May. Rather, this month’s main game that’s being spread across all platforms is King Oddball.

The PS Vita’s free PS Plus games for May 2018 include 10 Tons’ King Oddball and Housemarque’s Furmins – a physics-based puzzle game that also released on the PS3 and on iOS for mobile. King Oddball itself is a puzzle game, but it’s one that has seen success by releasing on virtually every platform out there, including the Mac, which is quite a rarity for major games, even for mobile games.
