Halo: Reach is coming to the Halo: Master Chief Collection on December 3rd. Originally released in 2010, Reach acted as a prequel to the original series and took place during the events of the Halo novel Halo: The Fall of Reach. Instead of featuring Master Chief himself, in Reach players took on the role of Noble Six, a distinctly different super-soldier than the main series' protagonist, but one who was no less powerful.

Halo has long been one of the most recognizable brands in gaming, and recently finally received it's own Showtime Halo TV show, which has already started production. When Halo: The Master Chief Collection was first released in November 2104, players praised the compilation's attention to detail, especially with the reworked versions of Halo 2's famous multiplayer maps. Although in the past rumors have suggested Xbox wanted to bring the Master Chief Collection to PS4, for now it seems like only Xbox players will get to revel in even more returning Halo content.

Earlier today during Inside Xbox, 343 Industries Community Director Brian Jarrard announced Halo: Reach will be coming to the Halo: Master Chief Collection on December 3rd. He also revealed the entire collection, which now contains six titles, can be purchased together on PC for $39.99, with Halo: Reach itself also being available as an individual purchase for $9.99. Players who already own the Master Chief Collection can get the updated version, which also includes the Halo 3:ODST campaign, for the same price.

During the event, Jarrad revealed the Master Chief Collection will also be a part of the Xbox Game Pass program, which has seen a number of high-profile quality titles being included lately such as The Outer Worlds and Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. Players excited about the upcoming Halo: Reach release can even go ahead and pre-install the game using either Xbox Game Pass system or by pre-ordering it on Steam or the Microsoft store ahead of it's December 3rd release.

Halo is the series which launched Xbox as a household name in the gaming marketplace, and it's surely one they intend on keeping around for a long time. Although players who already bought the Master Chief Collection may not want to spend additional money just to add in one more title (and an additional campaign) others who have not yet purchased this particular compilation of Halo games might find this the best time to jump in and see what all the fuss about Blood Gulch is about.
