Halo 5: Guardians retail copies leaked, requires up to 60 GB of storage space

A mere days after Halo 5: Guardians went gold, early copies of the game have somehow leaked into the hands of a lucky few gamers. An individual has posted front and rear photos of the game’s box as proof of possession on Imgur. Moreover, a closer look at the rear side reveals that Halo 5: Guardians takes up as much as 60 GB of the Xbox One’s hard drive space.

The aforementioned photos can be seen in the gallery below.

It’s likely that these images originated from a warehouse or retailer. Though, this wouldn’t be the first time a game in the Halo series has leaked well before its official release date. Early retail copies of the previous entry in the series, Halo 4, also managed to get leaked early.

Halo 5: Guardians is the first in the series to be given a ‘T-for-Teen’ rating; previous titles were rated M-for-Mature. It’s also the first game in the series to not support local split-screen coop. A 4-player online coop mode is, however, featured in the game.

While Halo 5: Guardians is scheduled to launch on later this month on October 27, developer 343 Industries will continue to support the game with post-release content, including a Forge mode and new DLC maps.
