If you've ever wanted to experience first-hand what it's like to not release Half-Life 3, you're in luck. Gabe Newell Simulator is now out of early access and released version 1.0 today.

The game is split into two halves, to better show the duality of man. On the one side, the simulation explores the life of the man known as GabeN as he manages the day-to-day operations of Valve software.

From fighting against other software companies, to wearing a modified Half-Life HEV suit, to deciding the ultimate fate of Half-Life 3, the game looks to be a reasonable approximation of what we all imagine GabeN's life is really like.

On the other side of the simulation, Steam mode, GabeN must manage the PC gaming platform for which his name has become synonymous with savings. This includes deciding what types of games to release and develop, as well as monitoring Steam sales with the ultimate goal of emptying wallets while filling hard drives with PC gaming goodness.

Gabe Newell Simulator costs $2.98 USD, just short of $3. If it were the full 3, that would be more than enough proof that Half-Life 3 is confirmed. This should put to rest all the rumors and conspiracy theories that surround the legendary game, a game which will likely only see release within the Gabe Newell Simulator universe.

The real-life Gabe Newell recently invested considerably in a device for preparing sous-vide food. Not just a single device, but the company that makes them, although GabeN probably does love himself a good steak.
