Looking for something new to play this weekend but don't want to spend any money? Microsoft has announced that two popular Xbox One games will be free to play this weekend: Skyrim: Special Edition and Halo 5: Guardians .

The only "catch" is that you need an Xbox Live Gold subscription, but if you're making the most of your Xbox One, you probably already have this. Both free weekends run now through Sunday, so you have a good amount of time to check out each game.

For Skyrim, the free weekend includes the base game and add-ons like Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn. Additionally, the game is marked down 50 percent through April 23, so if you like what you play you can pick up the game for a nice discount.

As for Halo 5, it's free this weekend in celebration of the Halo World Championship Finals weekend coming up. Additionally, Halo 5 is free if you're an Xbox Game Pass subscriber.

The games are free only until April 15, so you don't get to keep them without paying. Still, it's a nice offer for two really solid games.
