Final Fantasy VI is coming to PC for the first time ever.

A listing for the game has appeared on Steam, which promises to release on December 16. The page's description references "painstakingly recreated" graphics. This, along with the screenshots, hint that this is actually a version of the Final Fantasy VI mobile port from early 2014.

This would track with the release of Final Fantasy V on Steam in September, which was also a port of the iOS and Android version. The reveal also follows the first-ever footage of Square Enix's Final Fantasy VII remake.

No price is currently listed for the upcoming re-release, though if it sticks to Square Enix's previous Steam efforts you can expect to grab it for $16.
