FIFA 16 is already an old game, but plenty of fans are still engaged in the Ultimate Team mode, with EA Sports offering a constant stream of Team of the Week packages to highlight new players and give gamers a chance to tweak their first-team lineups.

The attacking line of the team selected by the developers includes two dedicated strikers, Aduriz and Schurrle, who can deliver goals as long as they receive good balls.
In midfield, the Team of the Week gives players access to Cristiano Ronaldo, from Real Madrid, and Lionel Messi, from Barcelona, two of the best players of the modern era, as well as Ramirez, Lallana and Koo Ja Cheol.
For defensive work, EA Sports has selected three players, Hector Bellerin, Ghoulam and Ecuele Manga. Then, the best goalkeeper of the week for the Ultimate Team mode is Fahrmann.
EA Sports is also offering access to seven substitutes that can be used to plug weak areas of a team, and for FIFA 16, the team is providing an extra five players to make sure that all those who are playing the semi-random Draft mode have enough options to choose from.
FIFA 17 will get its first gameplay reveal in late spring Team of the Week and community events are designed to keep the fan base of FIFA 16 playing for as long as possible, but most of the resources associated with the series are dedicated to the next installment of the football sim.
EA Sports is not yet talking about new mechanics or concepts that it plans to integrate, and an official announcement and some details might be offered in late spring or during the series of events that Electronic Arts will run alongside E3 2016.
The only current rumor about FIFA 17 is that the cover star will no longer be Lionel Messi, the powerful forward that plays for Barcelona and arguably the best footballer in the world because his representatives and the publisher have failed to reach an agreement about using his image.
Apparently, EA Sports is looking to find another suitable athlete for the cover spot, and the search seems to be focused on the Premier League for now.
FIFA 17 will certainly aim to improve the presentation of the series, but EA Sports also needs to find ways to make the gameplay more realistic, especially after they have been criticized for the relatively slow pace and lack of big changes that characterize the current installment.
