Video game developer EA Sports is clearly getting ready for the Christmas shopping season that’s debuting this week and will last for more than one month, and the company is announcing that the Deluxe version of FIFA 15 is being rebranded as the Holiday Edition and comes complete with some cool bonuses for those who want to experience the football sim.

The info comes from the official Origin service, which handles digital distribution on the PC, and gamers who pick up the game package will get access to 2,200 FIFA points which they can then spend as they see fit, more celebrations for players when they score a goal, a range of club kits inspired by the history of the biggest clubs in the world, and more boots to use.

The biggest draw of the new FIFA 15 version is that it will allow gamers to use Lionel Messi, the best player in the world by most accounts, in the Ultimate Team line-up as soon as they log in, as a loan for a limited time.

EA Sports states, “Play with realistic, physics-driven action – The ball reacts to every bounce and spin with unprecedented realism, giving you full control over your offense. Shoulder barges, shirt pulls and realistic slide tackles are all in play as you fight to retain or regain possession.”

FIFA 15 continues to draw a lot of attention

FIFA 15 has recently received a third big title update from EA Sports, which is designed to improve defensive positioning for players and to change the way lobbed passes work.

At the same time, gamers get some fixes and the player likenesses for a number of players have been upgraded.

The football title is focused on the impressive spectacle that the sport can deliver when played by superstars and allows gamers to experience a variety of modes that range from the classic Career to the Ultimate Team, which is fast becoming the favorite of most of the community.

EA Sports wants to keep FIFA 15 relevant all through the year, and that means it might introduce big price cuts for the game in time for Christmas.

Moreover, the company will continue to deliver Ultimate Team packages every week and a major update will be offered in early February 2015 in order to implement all the real world changes that will happen in the January transfer window.
