The FIFA series seems to be more dominating when it comes to sales this year than in 2014 and the newest installment of the EA Sports football sim is once again at the top of the United Kingdom video game sales chart and shows no sign of slowing down its pace.

The title was launched in late September and it is impressive to see that the game continues to attract new customers despite the fact that a range of other high-profile titles have been offered since then.

FIFA 15 has just received a second major title update from EA Sports, which fixed some problems that the community has been talking about and has tweaked the gameplay mechanics for both goalkeepers and for long-range shots.

At the same time the studio is keeping player interest up by delivering a weekly Team of the Week for the Ultimate Team mode, featuring the best performing real-world players, in order to give fans of the experience a way to upgrade their own rosters.

Second place in the United Kingdom chart for the week that ended on November 1 is Sunset overdrive, the title from Insomniac Games and publisher Microsoft that is only offered on the Xbox One.

The game has performed well, given that it is only offered on one platform, to reach the position during its launch week, but the two companies will be disappointed that it failed to dislodge FIFA 15.

The last place on the UK podium, according to data from UKIE, is occupied by the PlayStation Edition of indie hit Minecraft, which has lost one position since the previous week.

The best of the rest of the chart

The Evil Within has also dropped once place in order to land in fourth and is followed by a new entry, WWE 2K15 from 2K Sports, which shows that a wrestling sim can have a solid audience but is not popular enough to reach the top spot.

Destiny, the shooter from Bungie and Activision, continues to perform well and is now in sixth place, down from fourth, and Forza Horizon 2, the racing experience that’s exclusive to the Xbox One, is in seventh.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor continues to be one of the surprises of the fall in eighth place and Skylanders: Trap Team also managed to gain one position to reach ninth.

The last place in the United Kingdom top ten is occupied by the Xbox edition of Minecraft.
