Hot on the heels of the latest announcement from the Final Fantasy XIV Fanfest which occupied fans in Tokyo for the past 48 hours, the team at Square Enix have now released more information about the FFXIV FFXV crossover that was announced last month for the MMORPG.

Square Enix started drip-feeding information to avid fans about the FFXIV FFXV crossover in February during the Paris fanfest in February this year, and now it looks like the Tokyo fanfest has brought more clarity around what players are going to be able to expect. Previous rumors noted that the crossover event would be available in April, and it looks like the company has confirmed that aspect and more.

The official Final Fantasy XIV Twitter account tweeted a link out about the FFXIV FFXV crossover event after the Letter from the Producer, divulging the name of the event itself: A Nocturne for Heroes. A not so thinly veiled reference to Noctis, the protagonist of FFXV, A Nocturne for Heroes is going to kick off on 16 April, and you're going to have a whole ton of glamors (and a new hairstyle) to appreciate based on the uniforms of the men of FFXV. On top of that, the game's first 4-seater mount is going to be released and operational: The Regalia.

It definitely looks like all the iconic looks and trappings from FFXV are going to make their way into the FFXIV FFXV crossover that's going to land in Eorzea in about a month. It's interesting to note that this collab content feels like it has been a long time coming; FFXV received the bulk of its crossover content late last year so the delay might mean that the integration with FFXIV is a lot more comprehensive than in Square Enix's single-player game. We could very well get a trial or two if the well-received Monster Hunter World crossover from last year is anything to go by.

Now that we know when A Nocturne for Heroes FFXIV FFXV crossover is going to drop, players are going to have ample time to coordinate their glamors and to look forward to not drawing the short straw when it comes to which Free Company member has to sit in the back of the Regalia.
