Ubisoft has released the Far Cry 4 PC system requirements ahead of its release later this month.

The Far Cry 4 PC system requirements have been released, letting gamers know what hardware they’ll need to run the game.

The first thing to note is that Far Cry 4 is only supported on 64-bit operating systems, with laptop cards possibly compatible but not officially supported.

Far Cry 4 full system requirements are as follows:
Supported 64-bit OS: Windows 7 (SP1) x64, Windows 8 x64, Windows 8.1 x64
Processor:
- MINIMUM 2.6GHz Intel Core i5-750 or 3.2GHz AMD Phenom II X4 955 minimum
- RECOMMENDED 2.5GHz Intel i5-2400S or 4.0GHz AMD FX-8350
RAM: 4GB minimum or 8GB recommended
Video Card: 1GB DirectX 11-compliant with Shader Model 5.0 or greater
Sound Card: DirectX-compatible minimum, but 5.1 surround sound recommended
Free space required: 30GB
Multiplayer: 256kbps or faster

At the time of writing, the following video cards are supported:
- AMD Radeon HD 5850, 6000, 7000, R7 and R9 series.
- Nvidia GeForce GTX 460, 500, 600, 700 and Titan series

Far Cry 4 is due to be released on PC, Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360 and PS3 on November 18 in the UK.

Nvidia are currently offering Pick Your Path bundles offering a free copy of the game with any new GeForce GTX graphics cards.
