Bethesda has announced Fallout 4 will be getting a Season Pass, with DLC following early next year.

A new blog post from the company dives into what the company plans to do following the launch of the upcoming game, and also touches on regular updates and confirms mods will be coming to PS4 after PC and Xbox One.

First up, the game will be getting regular free updates that "come with not just fixes, but new features." The post cites examples like Skyrim's mounted combat, legendary mode, kill cams, visual enhancements and more, with fan input playing a key role in deciding what's created.

As for paid DLC, the studio doesn't know what it is yet, but a $30 Season Pass will apparently net you all of it. It'll start rolling out early next year, andt he post explains, "Based on what we did for Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Skyrim, we know that it will be worth at least $40, and if we do more, you'll get it all with the Season Pass."

Finally, the post touches on the ability to mod the game. It reiterates that PS4 players will also be getting access to mods, though they'll come to PC first and Xbox One second, before finally arriving on Sony's console. As previously stated, the Creation Kit doesn't exist yet, though it'll hopefully be available for free early next year.

Fallout 4 will feature fully voiced protagonists unlike the third installment and the goal is to add some “emotional depth” to the players.
