Fans of the long running and popular RPG series Fallout have become more and more restless over the next iteration since New Vegas released in 2010. To make matter worse, leaks and rumors have popped up on the web with regular consistency, with every mention of the excitedly awaited game leading us to believe that development is coming along quite nicely.

With E3 rapidly approaching, it’s only natural for us to discuss a possible announcement and what the game may have to offer.

A few interesting tid bits, such as the setting, seem a little more of a certainty. Considering past rumors and hearsay, we’re 90% sure that the game will be at least partially set in Boston. This information has sprung up through reliable leads from people who will star in the game, as well as hints from some people working on the game. Based on previous information, we are also aware the game has been in development since at least 2010, as Bethesda revealed in a statement that they were working on two projects;
one a couple of years down the line (now known to be Skyrim) and another more recently started project, which has still yet to surface.

This leads many to believe in the safe certainty the second project was indeed the next Fallout.

With E3 coming up and and taking place between June 10 – 12 in LA, and Bethesda set to make an appearance, it’s only natural for people to hope for at least a glimmer of what may from a series that has been silent for too long. The excitement for a new Fallout is palpable in many gaming circles, and some fans have gone up and beyond in letting their excitement for the next installment be heard loud and clear.

One of the loudest voices belongs to a man named Silviu Polisteanu, who started a petition on Change.org demanding Bethesda officially announces Fallout 4. While Bethesda themselves have not yet issues a statement in regards to the petition, the demand is as follows:

“I believe it’s about time Bethesda gives us some hints on Fallout 4. After the Survivor hoax and the “leaked” Fallout 4 script on Kotaku, we need to know if Fallout 4 is being made…”, “We do not ask for much; just throw us a bone, tell us you are working on it.”

The petition currently has only 9,074 signatures and Bethesda have made no effort to respond, although they can’t really be expected to, as they know people will buy the game whether they announce it now or not. You see this kind of thing happen more than you think, as the petition to Rockstar Games demanding a PC port has not been responded to, because they simply don’t have to. Eager fans are hard to contain however, and many would agree if Fallout 4 is in development, it’s about time for Bethesda to give up the goods, and show us what they got.
