Rockstar Games has recently announced that the developer’s team will soon be releasing a new GTA 5 patch to fix the infinite money hack issues in the multiplayer online mode of the game.

According to a report by Gameranx on December 30, fans are now confused as to how Rockstar Games will handle and remove the illegal money stored as players’ in-game currency. The new patch is said to address the money hack issues by modifying the payout sums in GTA Online and removing the money which players received in custom lobbies from hackers.

However, the company has not yet clarified how the money that was spent to buy properties and other products will be removed. Players are likely to lose out on those purchases if Rockstar Games chooses to fix the issues by modifying the payout sums. So, the development team has asked players to contact the support staff directly if they receive infinite cash from hackers.

The infinite cash hack problems have been steadily increasing in GTA Online, and fans had reported through various web sites that hackers and cheaters had afflicted their experience of the highly popular game. Many players were frustrated with the overall competitiveness of the game as it became significantly unbalanced and uninteresting due to hacking.

Rockstar Games had released a GTA 5 patch earlier this week, but it could only fix some minor issues regarding cash hacks by preventing offenders from creating custom lobbies and fixing issues regarding the duplication of vehicles. A recently launched hot fix seems to have kept the hacking problems under control by disabling all of the modified servers in the multiplayer mode of “GTA 5 Online”.

Though Rockstar Games has not yet announced a clear release date for the new GTA 5 patch, it’s evident that players are already confused about how the new patch will manage the cash hack problems. In addition to the new patch, the developers’ team are also planning to issue several new DLC cash card packs for GTA Online.
