Everything might be a great example of a video game that's so ambitious that it will be hard to deliver in terms of actual gameplay, but artist David O'Reilly wants to create a title that allows players to experience the world as every single thing that's part of it.

All the creatures and the items that a player can see in the game can be inhabited, each with its own way of dealing with the surrounding world, which opens up a wide variety of possibilities when it comes to interactions.
The game is officially announced on the PS Blog, set to arrive on the PlayStation 4, and the creator says that he is preoccupied with 3D as a medium and the effect that it has on human brains.
David O'Reilly is best known for the work that he has done on the video game sequences in the very successful movie "Her," which showed off some unique ways to generate emotions using tech.
He explains, "In Everything, every single thing is a playable character; if you can see it, you can be it. The game lets you see the entire universe from the point of view of the thousands of things in it. In other words, there is no distinction between you and the world, or between a level and a character. All these things experience and interact with the world differently."
Everything is a game about relationships The actual code creation for the video game is done by Damien DiFede, and the pair say that they have developed a new way to create and design levels, with objects seen as ecosystems as they exist in nature.
It's unclear how Everything will simulate the experience of a rock or the sun, given that we, as humans, are unable to objectively access it and can only speculate about their nature using very human concepts.
Regardless, O'Reilly has a very interesting idea, and it's nice to see that Sony is ready to work with creators who are focusing on an unusual concept and want to bring it to life.
The platform holder has said that it intends to make the PlayStation 4 a welcoming platform for smaller studios, offering them a chance to show off their unique ideas to a large number of potential customers.
There are more than 36 million PS4 home consoles in the hands of gamers all over the world, and Sony aims to expand its capabilities via new firmware and the launch of new tech like the PlayStation VR.
