The development team at BioWare and publisher Electronic Arts announce that Dragon Age: Inquisition is now gold on all platforms, which means that no more changes are being made to the core code of the title and that the disks to be offered in stores are at the moment getting ready for manufacture.

Mark Darrah, who is the executive producer working on the experience, says on the official blog that his team could not have achieved the landmark without the support of the community of fans that has supported the project so far.

He also explains that the game has now been in development for more than four years, with the team getting the first ideas together as soon as work on Dragon Age II was done.

Darrah states, "our goal was simple: do whatever we had to in order to tell the biggest story we’d ever told in the Dragon Age universe. Achieving that meant leaving no stone unturned – from adopting a new engine in Frostbite 3, to reimagining combat so it could blend tactics and action better than ever."

The executive producer also mentions some of the core elements of Dragon Age: Inquisition, including the new playable race, the Qunari, the introduction of the Keep and the variety of choices that gamers can make with a new cast of characters.

He adds, "These are characters who can challenge you, support you, fall in love with you, and maybe even betray you over the course of hundreds of hours of playing. Perhaps you’ll do the same with them. Looking over the vastness of the game we’ve finished, it really is the Dragon Age experience we’ve always wanted to make for you."

Saving the world with a party

Dragon Age: Inquisition will be launched on the PC, the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 and current-gen consoles on November 18 of this year in the United States and on November 21 in Europe.

Gamers will have to find the cause of a tear in the Veil which is causing monsters from the Fade to attack the world of the living and then to create a way to forever close it down.

The role-playing game will introduce a number of new potential companions, each with a unique set of skills that can be used together to take out enemies.

The tactical battles include both the complex strategies of Origins and the dynamism of Dragon Age 2.
