The development team at Bungie and publisher Activision have already delivered a major 1.0.3 patch for Destiny and now they are ready to offer more information on the new incarnation of the Iron Banner Player versus Player arena, which is designed to introduce a set of new gameplay changes and will feature involvement from the game makers who designed it.

The Iron Banner 2.0 will be running from November 18 to November 24, and gamers who are interested in testing their build and battling others will be able to now get access to level 30 armor by taking part and winning.

Until now, such items were only offered to gamers who completed raids, and the change means that a larger part of the community will be able to significantly enhance their equipment.

At the same time, Bungie has made changes designed to make the Iron Banner experience more competitive, with the rank every player reaches set to be wiped at the end of the current period.

The first version of the experience was plagued by problems, but the studio was quick to listen to feedback coming from the community and has implemented a lot of the changes fans were asking for.

The Bungie team is getting involved in Iron Banner

In an official announcement, Bungie also says that its own developers will be part of the Iron Banner launch today and will be in the Player versus Player mode between 11 AM and 1 PM Pacific Time.

The studio states, “We'll be swapping developer notes and providing the commentary you'll need to take full advantage of the new features and systems that make the Iron Banner more competitive than your average Crucible match. Collect tactical intel straight from the source. If you're lucky (and skilled), you might even have a chance to slaughter the experts in their own game, and collect a Bounty that the Iron Lords themselves cannot honor.”

A lot of Destiny players will probably want to fight the Bungie team and they’ll probably need some luck to get matched with them.

The recently launched 1.0.3 patch for the social shooter has introduced a wide range of changes to the balance of the experience and has also added quite a bit of the content that is required by The Dark Below, the full expansion which will be offered on all platforms on December 9, introducing a new level cap and more raids.
