Cyberpunk 2077 has already been parodied in the form of an adult film. CD Projekt's upcoming open world RPG has been one of the most hotly anticipated video games on the market for a long time now. Following multiple delays, the most recent of which took even the developers by surprise, the game is now slated for a release on December 10th, just about a week and a half away.

Cyberpunk 2077 is inspired by a classic tabletop RPG by Mike Pondsmith, which is generally referred to by later edition names like Cyberpunk 2020 and Cyberpunk Red in order to distinguish it from the larger cyberpunk genre. The developers are clearly very conscious of the title's roots, because they've released a tabletop prequel, Cyberpunk RED, in order to get fans immersed in the dystopian world of Night City before the game comes out. It looks like CD Projekt is inclined to channel the massive enthusiasm that's been generated for the RPG into a larger media universe, rather than relegating Night City to just the world of video games. To that end, there will be a Cyberpunk 2077 anime miniseries coming to Netflix in 2022.

This shared cinematic universe has already received an unlikely and probably unwanted addition in the form of Cyberpunk 2077's first porn parody. CD Projekt Red's business development director Rafal Jaki has already responded to this anomaly on Twitter (via PCGamer). He seems to be taking the discovery with largely good humor, remarking that, after all, mimicking is the highest form of praise. The video in question is rather unimaginatively named Cyberpunk 2077 XXX Parody, and it stars two women who, to their credit, do look like they could be characters from the game, albeit ones without much clothing. It's also apparently viewable in VR, which should make for a very immersive viewing experience for anyone interested enough to seek it out.

It shouldn't be too surprising that the game is getting such a racy homage. CD Projekt Red is certainly not known for shying away from sexually explicit content in its games, and Cyberpunk 2077 is already no exception. This is obvious from the character creator alone, which is offering in-depth options that defy the gender binary and, to that end, will allow unprecedented levels of customization on the parts of the character which are generally kept private.

There's a lot of reasons to be excited for Cyberpunk 2077. Most of those reasons aren't sexual at all, but this parody is potent evidence that there are plenty of people out there who have a decidedly explicit interest in CD Projekt's new RPG. One can only hope that the developers will handle the topic of sex in a responsible way, but if these particular Cyberpunk 2077 fans come away from the game unsatisfied, at least the internet is ready and willing to provide other ways of getting their fill. Just like it has been for years.
