Crysis and Ryse developer Crytek and mobile games publisher DeNA have released The Collectables on the iTunes App Store.

The free-to-play tactical action game has you assembling a squad of mercenaries and commanding each soldier through fast-paced, third-person combat scenarios. Over time, you’ll get to upgrade your crew using a collectable card system that unlocks new abilities.

Crytek said that an Android version of the game is coming soon.

Last week at GDC, Crytek revealed that developers will be able to license its CryEngine for $9.90 a month per user, right after Epic announced a $19 monthly subscription for Unreal Engine 4. CryEngine is already available for free for those developing software for non-commercial use, but those wanting access to the engine's new features will also need to subscribe to the new plan.
