Ubisoft confirms that a brand new closed beta stage for The Crew, its upcoming multiplayer racing experience, is set to take place later this week, starting November 6, on the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.

The Crew is one of Ubisoft's biggest bets this season, as it's an all-new intellectual property that takes a risk and delivers an open world racing experience with seamless online multiplayer weaved into the actual campaign.

While quite a lot of people have been excited about the new title coming from developers Ivory Tower and Ubisoft Reflections, the recent closed beta stages that took place either on PC or on PS4 and Xbox One have had mixed results.

A new closed beta is coming to consoles

Still, Ubisoft is determined to keep improving the game, and in order to show just how much has changed since the last test phase, the company confirms that another closed beta for The Crew begins later this week.

More specifically, the second The Crew closed beta test phase starts on November 6 and ends on November 10, across the PS4 and Xbox One consoles. Those who want to be eligible for a chance to get in on the testing can register their interest on the official website. Those who have already pre-ordered The Crew from the Uplay Shop are guaranteed access into the new test.

The content in the beta remains the same

Unfortunately, it seems that there won't be any new content available in the second closed beta stage for The Crew on PS4 and Xbox One. According to Ubisoft, there will be missions and challenges in the Midwest and East Coast regions, while the whole open world can be explored.

"The closed beta will allow players to explore the entire United States and complete challenges in two of the five regions available in the game, the Midwest and East Coast. The Crew offers a truly enormous living, breathing open world with varied and detailed environments, full of activities to explore seamlessly either alone or with friends," Ubisoft explains.

What's more, for those who want some competitive experiences there will be online lobbies opened for the Midwest and East Coast regions that can be accessed by all players.

"The PvP lobbies in the Midwest and East Coast regions will also be accessible for players who want to prove their competitive skills. For those who like to customize and fine turn their ride, two of the five spec classes, Street and Dirt, will also be available to players."

While the closed beta for The Crew can be accessed by all players, some online features require a PS Plus subscription on PS4 or an Xbox Live Gold subscription on Xbox One.
