Bethesda recently announced plans for the upcoming DLC packages, but many users are interested more in the workshop support, and it looks like they won't have to wait too long.

The main reason Bethesda games are really popular on the PC platform is the mod support. Since it's possible to get these mods through Steam, via the Workshop, everyone was wondering when Fallout 4 is finally going to receive mod support.
According to a report on gamespot.com that cites Game Informer, mod support is going to be added to Fallout 4 after the launch of the first DLC, Automatron. This is an important step in the life of the game because many modders will choose to provide their work through the workshop.
There is no precise launch date for Automatron, but we do know that it's scheduled for March. This takes us to a very delicate subject, which is sure to reappear with Fallout 4, which has been incredibly successful.
Bethesda and Valve had some plans to allow modders to charge for the content that they provide and to get a share of the profits. That idea didn't go too well with the community, being later dropped, but they did say they are going to revisit it. And what better opportunity than the implementation of the official mod support for Fallout 4?
I'm not saying that it's going to happen, just that there is a good chance.
