With Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and Battlefield V both now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, the yearly shooter debate has begun once again. "Which should I buy?" the internet asks. "The rapid-fire adrenaline rush of Call of Duty, or the more squad-focused sprawling multiplayer affair that is Battlefield?"

Luckily, Versus is here to answer that exact question. Watch the video above to see Will Potter and Dave Jewitt talk through each game's various strengths and weaknesses. If you want some historical context, we also did a Versus episode looking at the two series more broadly earlier this year--check out that Call of Duty Vs. Battlefield episode here.

Of course, Battlefield's battle royale mode, Firestorm, won't arrive until March 2019. For now, two of the best battle royale options out there belong to Activision and Epic, respectively--check out our Black Ops 4: Blackout Vs. Fortnite for a deeper dive on them.

Will you be buying Call of Duty or Battlefield this year? Perhaps both? Let us know your thoughts on this year's shooters below.
