Assassin's Creed Syndicate main developer Ubisoft Quebec emphasizes that it's learned from the mistakes of last year's Assassin's Creed Unity, which arrived from Ubisoft Montreal, and wants to deliver a fun and polished time with the new title.

Assassin's Creed Unity was set to usher in a new era for the long running series but crippling technical problems across all platforms kept the new entry from achieving greatness and annoyed many fans.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate is this year's entry in the series and it's the first title to arrive from Ubisoft Quebec, who's now alternating with the Montreal studio.
The Quebec crew has learned from Unity's mistakes

While talking with GameReactor, Ubisoft Quebec's Senior Producer Francois Pelland confirms that the team has learned from the mistakes of Assassin's Creed Unity and wants, with Syndicate, to focus on the core mechanics, and delight fans.

He emphasizes that Ubisoft is constantly learning from fan feedback and, while mistakes have been made, the new title will polish the core features that players want, from stealth, to exploration and much more.

"We make a lot of good things, we make sometimes mistakes, and this year we decided to really focus on the investment that we've done over the past few years. So when we think of navigation, stealth, fight; we wanted to polish those experiences and make sure that, like I said, it's the core of Assassin's Creed, it's what players like, it's what players feel comfortable doing, so that's what we wanted to do, focus on the core, make it awesome and create a great game."

Unlike Unity, Syndicate won't have a multiplayer mode, nor other distractions that also put a damper on the game's performance and annoyed players by requesting interactions with the companion application or other external experiences.

Syndicate is set to debut on October 23 worldwide on PS4 and Xbox One. PC users will have to wait until later in the fall to get their hands on the title.
