Zoë Kravitz praises Robert Pattinson's transformation in The Batman as "out of this world." The daughter of the popular musician, Lenny Kravitz, stars in Matt Reeves' upcoming Batman movie as a nightclub worker named Selina Kyle, who masquerades as a burglar under the the alter ego, Catwoman. Kravitz is certainly no stranger to superhero fare, including the role of Catwoman, having previously voiced the character in 2017's The LEGO Batman Movie.

Following her big breakout as Angel Salvadore in 2011's X-Men: First Class, Kravitz also voiced Mary Jane in 2018's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Now, she gets the chance to portray Catwoman in live action alongside Pattinson as a younger Dark Knight in his second year of fighting crime in Gotham City. The two will square off against multiple iconic villains in The Riddler (Paul Dano) and The Penguin (Colin Farrell), while rumors claim Barry Keoghan could be playing The Joker. The Batman also stars Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth and Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon.

Speaking to Variety, Kravitz reveals she has “seen a little” of Reeves' The Batman, which is currently in post-production. Though she obviously isn't allowed to reveal much about the upcoming DC film, the Catwoman actress had plenty of praise for Pattinson's performance, saying "his transformation was out of this world." Read Kravitz's full quote below:

Rob is perfect for this role. He was incredible. His transformation was out of this world. [Director] Matt Reeves has a lot of heart, and he cares so much for these characters. I’m just very excited for him to be able to go on vacation because he deserves it. I hope the fans love it because we put a lot of work into this.

The Batman was originally conceived as a solo outing for Ben Affleck, and many were initially perplexed when Pattinson was recast in the role, given his reputation as the awkward vampire Edward Cullen from the Twilight saga. However, he has since delivered an array of under-the-radar performances in indie films like Good Time and The Lighthouse. One of his recent higher-profile roles came in Christopher Nolan's Tenet, though his dual role as Bruce Wanye/Batman is likely his best opportunity to shed his Twilight persona and be recognized as the immense talent he is.

Though Kravitz has likely seen a little more footage than the general public, based on the trailer for The Batman, Pattinson's transformation into the Caped Crusader certainly looks like a sight to behold not only physically, but vocally as well. Like a few Batman actors before him, Pattinson is able to reduce his voice to a deep harsh growl, which perfectly matches the dark tone Reeves is setting for the adaptation. The full extent of Pattinson's transformation will be revealed when The Batman debuts in theaters on March 4.
