The full trailer for Zack Snyder's Justice League is finally here. The long wait for the Snyder Cut's release is almost over. The four hour cut will hit HBO Max on March 18 after years of fan campaigning and confirmation in 2020 that Snyder would actually be able to complete his vision for the original 2017 film. Snyder left Justice League during post-production, handing the reigns over to Joss Whedon, who went on to significantly alter the final product.

Snyder has steadily teased the upcoming film and with hours of extra footage, he has plenty to show off. Snyder also conducted additional filming for his version, bringing back Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, and Ray Fisher. Amber Heard and Joe Manganiello were also brought back to shoot additional footage and, in the biggest surprise of all, Snyder shot scenes with Jared Leto. Leto will be reprising his role as Joker from David Ayer's Suicide Squad and Snyder showed off Joker's new look ahead of the trailer's release.

As promised, HBO Max has released the official trailer for his cut of Justice League. The trailer shows off Snyder’s new look for the film, a much darker aesthetic than some of what Whedon used in his final product. The trailer begins with narration from Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor, who will also appear in the new version, as he warns of the battle to come. We also get new looks at Cyborg and Superman and the trailer ends with the first live-action look at Jared Leto's return as Joker. Check out the clip below:

The set-up is much the same in the new Justice League trailer - Affleck's Bruce Wayne must corral a group of heroes in order to fight the impending threat of Steppenwolf. This time, though, we get a look at Darkseid himself, as Steppenwold approaches him on their planet of Apokolips. As many know by now, Darkseid was to be the villain in Snyder's Justice League follow-up, as teased in the Knightmare sequences of the original film.

Darkseid's future in the DCEU, like Snyder's, is up in the air. Zack Snyder's Justice League is more about giving fans a glimpse of what could've been and, if the trailer is any indication, it would've been quite spectacular. Whedon's light-hearted take on the heroes is clearly diminished in the trailer, as Snyder returns to the more ominous and serious tone of his original films. With just over a month away until the HBO Max release of Justice League, fans can parse through the trailer for any hints as to what the Snyder Cut has in store. Hopefully, fan excitement can translate to real change, with the prospect of restoring the SnyderVerse on everyone's minds as the DCEU gears up to release the original version of one of comics, most exciting team-ups.
