Spoiler warning: If you want to know absolutely nothing about Apocalypse before seeing it, turn back now.

Simon Kinberg, writer/producer of the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse has offered a teasing hint as to the post-credits scene in the new film.

“It’s a nod toward potentially a lot of different movies", Kinberg told Collider. "I mean certainly the Wolverine movie is related to what happens at the end of it, but there’s also another character that’s introduced, at least in name, in the tag [another term for a post-credits scene] and he could show up in any host of different X-Men films. Maybe a Gambit movie, maybe another X-Men movie.”

Kinberg makes reference to the R-rated Wolverine film arriving next year and the Channing Tatum-starring Gambit film, which recently had production delayed until the latter half of this year.

Kinberg's last X-Men film, Days of Future Past, used its post-credits scene to introduce Apocalypse, the antagonist played by Oscar Isaac, so this could perhaps be another new villain who'll appear across multiple films in the universe. Mister Sinister, perhaps?
