The fact that a movie can go as far as a couple of weeks before its release date without being locked in is a pretty scary thought. A lot of things can happen between the day production wraps and the first preview screenings, and in the DC Universe, saying so roughly equates to "more time to screw it up." Thankfully, Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins has an encouraging update on the status of her film, and you can see exactly where it stands in the photo below.

Man! Last many Fridays have been some of the best in my life. Seeing final effects and recording EPIC score!?!Brings tears to my eyes #love pic.twitter.com/m8Yc9NCi4G

Patty Jenkins' Twitter feed brought that lively image, with commentary from the director herself. From the looks of it, things are in full swing with Wonder Woman's current cut being scored with Rupert Gregson-Williams' musical accompaniment. What's more exciting though is Jenkins' proclamation that the visual effects work has been completed, which indicates that the small piece of action we can see on the monitor in the top left corner is basically what the film is going to look like when it debuts in June.

There is, naturally, a catch to this celebratory sneak peek. As it turns out, the only Wonder Woman content that we can really make out in the photo is another look at Ewen Bremner's as-of-yet unnamed character alongside what looks like Saïd Taghmaoui's similarly nameless member of the team. Judging by that frame alone, it doesn't look like the visual style of Wonder Woman is going to differ that much from the stuff we've already seen in the trailers. The darker bluish grey palette of the battlefield is in tact, if not a little harsher in the copy being shown to those recording the score.

For all of the problems that the DC Cinematic Universe has had with their films, it's a little more than slightly reassuring that Patty Jenkins is standing by the state that Wonder Woman is currently in. Though the more we think about it, David Ayer was pretty supportive of his own work in the run up to Suicide Squad's release date, and we all know how that film turned out. Keeping that caveat in mind, we'll remain optimistic, but cautious.

Wonder Woman kicks all sorts of ass in theaters on June 2nd.
