Plans to open the new Los Angeles-based location in 2016 were announced last year, generating quite a bit of excitement from Potter fans on the west coast. The park will feature Universal Studios Hollywood's first outdoor roller coaster with "Flight of the Hippogriff," and will offer Potter-themed food and drinks at The Three Broomsticks and Hog's Head pub.
