Mila Kunis reveals the reason she isn't all that interested in joining a superhero film franchise - whether Marvel, DC or other - and what might make her change her mind. With sequels, spin-offs, and crossovers, a superhero role is almost guaranteed job security. It's also a lot of work, time, and commitment.

Kunis is no stranger to action films and stuntwork. She co-starred in Book of Eli in 2010 and Jupiter Ascending in 2015 and performed her own stunts in her most recent spy comedy romp, The Spy Who Dumped Me. Kunis has been busy promoting Spy, in which she stars with Saturday Night Live's Kate McKinnon. In interviews, the two co-stars have gushed about how their fast friendship formed on the set of the film. It turns out, that friendship may be the only way to ever convince Kunis to don a super suit.

In an interview with MTV, Kunis responded with a flat "no" when asked whether or not she would consider being in a superhero movie. She went on to explain that the workouts required to get into physical shape for such a role were more than she's willing to commit to. "Lots of those people are hungry. And you have to be, because you have to be in shape," she said. "And I don't want to be hungry for 10 years." Kunis further clarified that she would prefer to focus her energy on her children. McKinnon jokingly revealed the superhero she would love to play, Grape Girl - a hero who eats a lot of grapes. Kunis' love for McKinnon swayed her resistance to a superhero role, just a little. She joked that she would be willing to play the plate Grape Girl eats grapes off of.

Kunis has been very vocal in the past about her distaste for physically changing her body for her roles. She was incredibly unhappy with her weight loss for Black Swan and felt she gained a new, somewhat negative perspective on the entertainment industry because of it. Kunis' transformation for Black Swan only took six months, and given that she was so miserable with that experience, it's understandable that she would hesitate to put herself in that kind of situation for a longer period.

With two young children at home and a happy marriage to That '70s Show co-star Ashton Kutcher, Kunis has been focusing on her home life. Kunis and Kutcher have made it a point to take turns filming in order to keep their family together as much as possible. Hungry or not, it's much more likely Kunis will continue to focus on one-off films or smaller franchises until her children are a little older.
