It honestly depends. I'm not actually into movies all that much, I'm one of those people that needs to pause stuff whilst watching things and I need to watch new movies alone (because I hate people talking over everything). I mean, for something like The Hobbit, I will gladly throw my money at the cinema for the HFR and 3D/imax stuff - and I have a few specific things I'd go and see in a heartbeat, but I tend to watch most everything at home.

In the last few years streaming is the best solution.

If the movie is right, Imax bar none. However, at home for most movies. No popcorn crunching!

I watch both. But usually I like researching the movies before I watch them, and that tends to be a whole bunch of movies that are no longer playing in the cinema.
