Fan artist BossLogic is giving fans a glimpse of what Henry Cavill could look like as Geralt of Rivia in Netflix's live-action The Witcher TV show. The DC movie star recently revealed that he fancies swapping his role as the Man of Steel for a part as the White Wolf.

First appearing in Andrzej Sapkowski's series of short stories, Geralt became the main protagonist of CD Projekt Red's The Witcher series. A huge part of the video game world since 2007's The Witcher, Geralt is expected to be the lead of Netflix's upcoming adaptation. Showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich is currently hard at work on The Witcher series and promises that parts like Geralt and Yenefer will be cast "soon."

As Hissrich narrows her shortlist of potential names to play Geralt, BossLogic shared his own rendition of what Cavill could look like in the part. Take a look below. Best-known for playing Clark Kent/Superman in the unofficially titled DCEU, Cavill has left his cape and tights behind to star in other movies like The Man from U.N.C.L.E., and most recently, Mission: Impossible - Fallout. As one of Hollywood's biggest names, casting Cavill may seem a little out of reach for Netflix, but let's remember that he is no stranger to TV screens thanks to a starring role on Showtime's The Tudors.

While Geralt is usually depicted as older - especially in the likes of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - BossLogic certainly makes Cavill look the part. The Witcher already promises to be one of Netflix's most exciting original shows, but just imagine the power of adding Cavill as the lead. What's more, as a self-confessed fan of the books and having "blasted through" The Witcher 3 twice, he's definitely done his research when it comes to embodying Geralt.

With everything from Sonic the Hedgehog to Mortal Kombat, (another) DOOM to Metal Gear Solid making their way off consoles and into the world of TV or cinema, Hollywood is trying its hardest to break that video game curse. Also, in a post-Game of Thrones era as a Lord of the Rings series attempts to steal the limelight, a fantasy epic like The Witcher could cash in on the hype.

Just as Dave Bautista has lobbied for the role of Marcus Fenix in a Gear of War movie, some of the industry's biggest stars are embracing their geeky side and love of video games. Even if Cavill doesn't get his wish to dye his hair white and play Geralt of Rivia, at least Netflix's The Witcher knows he will be tuning in to see the adventures unfold.
