America's Got Talent: The Champions has shown its viewers some surprising moments all season, but it really pulled out all the stops for its two-part finale. Bringing back Darci Lynne as a wildcard contestant was surprising enough for the wrap-up, but the NBC competition wasn't done wowing fans yet. Darci's big finale performance was made extra special, thanks to the Muppets' Rowlf, who joined her on stage for a dog-gone great performance.

So, is Darci Lynne getting included into The Muppets family for that new Disney+ project or what? There's no denying that's a great and logical combination, as the young America's Got Talent champion could make for a great key player for the Muppets to call upon in future projects. Her puppeteering skills are growing, and cheery music is integral to her creativity. Match. Made. In. Heaven.

Maybe Edna can start a thing with Mr. Statler or Mr. Waldorf? That's assuming that whole business with Simon Cowell is over, which seems to be the case, seeing as he's been ducking the ol' girl and not returning her calls. Tsk tsk, Simon.

Jokes and fan-fiction about Simon dating a puppet aside, it's easy to see how Darci Lynne continues to find success with her abilities to play crowds with singing and humor. Watch the video a second time and really lock into how impressive Lynne is when shifting between her and Edna's voice all while alternating between songs and dialogues with Rowlf. That's either the product of an immense amount of rehearsal time, or the abilities of a professional prodigy.

America's Got Talent: The Champions' fanbase definitely know how vastly immense the ventriloquist's skillset is, as evidence by Darci Lynne ending up one of the final two competitors. Unfortunately, Lynne fell short to the new champion, stage magician Shin Lim. She had nothing to be ashamed of, however, considering everyone she beat out to make it that far. The win would've been sweet, but Lynne's career likely won't suffer much from finishing second behind LIm.

On a somewhat unrelated note, this will be the second time Rowlf The Dog has shown up on television in the past week. The floppy-eared pianist recently appeared in an episode of Disney's Muppet Babies for the first time. Is this the beginning of some Rowlf renaissance setting Rowlf up as a bigger name in the Muppet brand over Kermit? Probably not, but it is crazy that these two appearances managed to happen in such close proximity.

America's Got Talent: The Champions has concluded on NBC, which means the countdown to Season 14 of America's Got Talent has now begun in earnest.
