Vin Diesel is teasing his upcoming movie projects, including potential sequels to Bloodshot and The Last Witch Hunter. Although his name is synonymous with Dominic Toretto for many people, Diesel has a number of franchise roles under his belt by this point. In fact, shortly before the first Fast & Furious movie hit theaters in 2001, the actor originated the role of Furyan antihero Richard B. Riddick in Pitch Black. Then, a year after The Fast and The Furious opened in theaters, he introduced the world to his extreme sports extraordinaire turned NSA spy, Xander Cage, in xXx.

Diesel has since reprised both of those characters, and has plans to play them yet again sometime in the foreseeable future. But first, he will try to launch another IP with Bloodshot, Sony's upcoming adaptation of the Valiant comic book series (which is scheduled to arrive in February). And after that, he's looking forward to not only reprising Riddick and Cage, but also Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy, Bloodshot, and yet another character many people had probably nearly forgotten about.

Taking to Instagram, Diesel offered his a Thanksgiving-related update, having recently completed production on Fast & Furious 9 (which he claimed was "the longest filming shoot of my career"). He then teased the various projects he currently has in some stage of development, including - surprisingly - a potential sequel to The Last Witch Hunter. You can read his full post below.

Released in 2015, The Last Witch Hunter is a fantasy adventure starring Diesel as Kaulder, a witch hunter cursed with immortality who goes to war with his centuries-old enemy, the Witch Queen, in present-day New York City. The film was initially positioned as being the start of a potential franchise for Diesel, but those plans were (seemingly) abandoned after the movie earned generally bad reviews and only grossed $147 million at the box office on a budget as high as $90 million. If Diesel is to be believed, though, there's a real chance he will get to play Kaulder in The Last Witch Hunter 2 after all, in spite of this. It wouldn't be the first time the actor successfully resurrected one of his franchises from the dead either; after all, the second Riddick movie, The Chronicles of Riddick, was an expensive bomb in 2004, and yet Diesel still got a sequel (titled Riddick) made, nine years later.

At the moment, the only surefire sequels in Diesel's future are Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Fast & Furious 10, which will reportedly conclude the Toretto Saga (so to speak). And if Bloodshot does become a box office success next year, then presumably Sony will want him to prioritize the sequel to that film over brand-new adventures featuring Richard B. Riddick and Xander Cage, much less Kaulder. But again, if Diesel's career so far has taught his fans anything, it's to never completely give up on the possibility of a sequel to one of his movies - even one that disappointed like The Last Witch Hunter did.
