Star Wars: The Force Awakens introduced Kylo Ren as a more emotional villain than we were used to seeing in the Star Wars universe. It turns out, he's got some pretty strong feelings about the next film in the franchise as well. A new video has "Kylo Ren" doing the standard YouTube reaction thing and, needless to say, he reacts quite strongly to this historical film.

Brought to you by the Aurelnauts YouTube channel, the video has Kylo Ren responding to the most recent trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Since Kylo Ren technically exists within the same universe as the film, he's looking it at it from a historical context, the same way that we'd look at a movie about World War II. He remarks about the massive statue that had apparently been carved by the Jedi at some point and laments the fact that the Sith are too busy killing each other to do work like that.

His primary focus, however, is the general problem of the Death Star design. We already know what happens to the battle station, and of course, so does Kylo Ren. He gets more than a little upset about the terrible decision to build a thermal exhaust port that leads directly to the main reactor. He's not entirely wrong, based on what we see in Star Wars: A New Hope, it's clear that nobody bothered to review the Death Star plans after they were stolen, which seems like a pretty significant oversight. Wouldn't you go through them yourselves after they were taken in order to figure out what the Rebel Alliance might find? Ren is right to be pissed. The Empire screwed that one up pretty bad.

Jokes aside, the final trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was actually pretty good. It gave a bit more insight into the character of Jyn Erso than we had before. Our previous exposure to the character made her seem mostly like a cold woman who was only doing work that she was being forced into by the Rebel Alliance. The new trailer shows her as much more invested character who is clearly a hero in the Star Wars tradition.

There's still a lot we don't know about the4 team that makes up Rogue One. It's difficult in a few two-minute trailers to really show an ensemble cast like that. Kylo Ren is far from impressed with the "magic stick man" but we have to say he looks pretty cool from here.

Do you agree with Kylo Ren's assessment of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story? Are all Stormtroopers really Death Troopers, because they tend to die a lot? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
