HBO has done it again. They’ve created another series we can’t wait to watch, one that looks just as suspenseful and addicting as Game of Thrones. However, the plot is completely different. It’s based on author/director Michael Crichton’s 1973 movie Westworld, which is about a futuristic theme park where guests can pretend they’re in the Wild West – which just so happens to be run by computers and robots who help the plot take a turn for the worse.

The original trailer for the 1973 movie Westworld:

Though the above storyline sounds interesting on its own – especially considering that Michael Crichton also wrote the book Jurassic Park – it looks as though HBO wants to take things up a notch. According to BGR, the network has described their version of Westworld as “a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin.” It stars Anthony Hopkins, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Tessa Thompson, and Ed Harris. Plus, it was created by Jonathan Nolan (Christopher Nolan’s brother) and is being executive produced by none other than J.J. Abrams.

While the latest trailer doesn’t give much away, we can already tell that the show will be one-of-a-kind (and probably a bit provocative). The Verge reports that the series’ extras had to sign a contract that mentions “genital-to-genital touching.” (So… maybe it will be more like Game of Thrones than we think?)

Luckily, while we’re mourning the end of Game of Thrones Season 6, we’ll have Westworld to keep us company. It is set to premiere in October of this year – which means we’ll definitely have something spooky to get us in the mood for Halloween.

Personal Note: This comes from the duo that brought as Person of Interest for the last 5 years, Jonathan Nolan and J. J. Abrams
