On Wednesday, Oct. 5, fans of the hit series “Gilmore Girls” will finally have the opportunity drink a cup of Luke’s famous coffee from Luke Diner — or rather, from reproductions of the iconic restaurant.

In honor of the 16th anniversary of the series premiere, more than 200 participating businesses will transform themselves into Luke’s Diners, beginning at 7 a.m. with free coffee being handed out until noon. In Los Angeles, the diner will appear at the Comoncy coffee shops in Beverly Hills and Studio City. In New York, look for Luke’s at selected locations of Ground Central Coffee and The Bean.

In addition, official merchandise will be available for sale, including t-shirts, branded aprons, and for the first 200 customers, a free 12-ounce cup of coffee. According to the official press release, customers should also look for a “fun surprise under their custom Gilmore Girls coffee sleeve,” hinting at additional prizes during the pop-up coffee frenzy. Needless to say, fans are ecstatic.

Whether it be appearances from cast members or even a glass of Founder’s Day Punch, all the excitement will surely have fans saying, “coffee coffee coffee!”

A list of participating locations can be found here. The revival of the popular series, “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life,” premieres on Netflix Friday, Nov. 25 at 12:01 a.m., with four 90-minute episodes.
